Minority Business Assistance Center

The Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC) is design to assist minority owned businesses and member organizations in the growth and development of their businesses.  The center works in partnership with the Stark County Minority Business Association, the Small Business Development Center, and other local agencies which serve small and minority owned businesses.

The primary services which the MBAC center offers includes;

  • Access to capital
  • Performance bonding
  • Federal, state, and local certifications such as MBE and EDGE
  • Contract opportunities
  • Business and coaching and training

The center is staffed by a director, Kim Lee, who is available by appointment to help entrepreneurs with training, education, work on business plans, and marketing ideas and assist them with securing public contracts.  Businesses must prove 51% ownership and control by a minority defined as Asian American, African American, Hispanic or Latino, or American Indian.  The Stark County Minority Business Association serves as the fiscal agent for the MBAC center.
